How to download and install WEBSTER browser (WSLR):
1. Click the link above and save file to the hard drive (on C: perhaps)
2. The file you just downloaded is called WSLR.msi.
Run that file (double click from Windows Explorer).
3. Choose a location (perhaps C:\WEBSTER) and click install
4. The WEBSTER browser will be installed at that location.
5. Run the browser:
by double clicking its icon on your desktop.
6. To download web lessons, click the 'PRODUCTS' menu on after starting the browser.
The browser can be -uninstalled by Start-->Control Panel-->Add and Remove Programs-->WSLR-->Remove.
Here's what you need to run the browser:

Note: If you sign on as a student, you will be 'locked in' to the browser and you will think the software doesn't work. You should sign on as ADMIN. SO PLEASE, READ ABOUT IT FIRST !

2. The file you just downloaded is called guidelines.exe. Run that file (double click from Windows Exeplorer)
3. Choose a location (perhaps C: again) and click install
4. A file called guidelines.doc will be created.
5. Use MS Word to open that file.
How to download and install WEBSTER lesson editor features web lesson:

2. The file you just downloaded is called TUTORIAL.exe. Run that file (double click from Windows Exeplorer)
3. Find your lessons folder (C:\WEBSTER\WSFILES\LESSONS) or (C:\WSLEDIT\WSFILES\LESSONS) enter it and click install.
4. A web lesson called TUTORIAL will be created
5. The lesson can be run in either the WEBSTER browser or the editor.
How to download and install the GIF collection:
1. Click the link above and save file to hard drive (on C: perhaps)
2. The file you just downloaded is called CGIFS.exe. Run that file (double click from Windows Exeplorer)
3. Find your lessons folder (C:\WEBSTER\WSFILES\LESSONS) or (C:\WSLEDIT\WSFILES\LESSONS) enter it and click install.
4. A folder called CGIFS will be created
5. The gifs in the folder can be included in web lessons.
We have run WEBSTER on quite a few configurations including laptops and a dual mode Mac. Probably the most critical requirement is the broadband Internet connection. Surfing the Internet at dial up speeds just is not very exciting and we don't recommend it.
Once the WEBSTER reader is installed you can download completed web lessons from Eldersoft. Here are some that are available (and we're working on more all the time). Note that a price is shown here but our intent is to provide these free of charge when our NPO is operational.

Remember, the lessons are designed to be run in the WEBSTER browser and run much faster and smoother there than here and many features of the lessons such as link control cannot be duplicated here.
